ARLINGTON – The Arlington Drug Awareness Coalition is hosting two concurrent events on Jan. 19 to share tips with parents on how to spot drug abuse in their home, whether it involves their own children or their children’s friends.

The events titled “Not in My House!” are 6:30-7:30 p.m. at Weston High School, 4407 172nd St. in Arlington, and Lakewood High School, 17110 16th Drive.

In addition to learning more about signs that illegal drug use could be occurring in homes, the events also feature teenage bedroom vignettes where parents can comb through a room to see if they can locate hidden and camouflaged drugs, as well as drug paraphernalia.

The events include a resource fair with local agencies sharing information and resources with parent. For details, go to www.facebook.com/arlingtonaware.
