ARLINGTON — The Arlington volleyball team blanked Oak Harbor 3-0 (25-15, 25-13 and 25-16) Oct. 5. Highlights for Arlington: Mackenzie Massey had seven kills and an ace; Morgan Van Laar had six kills and two aces; and Jessica Baker had six kills and four aces. Arlington’s record is 8-1.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville Getchell volleyball team defeated Marysville-Pilchuck 3-1 (25-21, 21-25, 25-10 and 25-10) Oct. 5. Highlights for MG: Robin Meador had 36 digs; Juliana Cameron and Ruth Reznikov had 10 kills. Highlights for M-P: Alexis Wojcicki led M-P with eight kills.

MG’s record improved to 2-7 and M-P’s dropped to 2-6.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington boys tennis team defeated Everett 4-3 Oct. 5. Winning matches were: Singles—Connor Gutherie, 6-0 and 6-0; and Nicholas Mendro, 6-0 and 6-1. Doubles—Sean McCauley and Wren Pullig, 6-0 and 6-0; Kenny Knutson and Will Eckley, 6-0 and 6-1. Arlington’s record is 11-2.

MARYSVILLE — Marysville Getchell defeated Marysville-Pilchuck 6-1 in boys tennis Oct. 5. Results: Singles—James Madamba (MG) def. Luke Dobler, 6-0, 6-1; Nolan Lechner (MG) def. Griffin Hubbert, 6-0 and 6-1; Connor Peterson (M-P) def. Eben Heacock, 6-4, 2-6 and 10-8; Nathan Snyder (MG) def. Aaron Kalab, 6-1 and 6-1. Doubles—Joshua Angulo and Joshua Villavicencio (MG) def. Parker Devereaux and Daniel Kirkwood, 6-4 and 6-1; Daniel Kiecz and Mack Gray (MG) def. Kobe Bowman and Coby Nelson, 6-1 and 6-4; Brandon Thomas and Evan Sprague (MG) def. Austin Buchannan and Chris Hackmann, 6-0 and 6-0. MG improved to 5-8 and dropped M-P to 1-13.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood volleyball team topped Mount Baker 3-0 (25-11, 25-8 and 25-17) Oct. 4. Highlights for Lakewood were: Mariah Jensen with 18 assists; Jelly Perry with eight kills; and Sidney Goodall with 10 aces. Lakewood’s record is 6-1.

LAKEWOOD — Riley Christianson scored three goals and Cassidy Oars added one more in the Lakewood girls soccer team win over Mount Baker 4-0 Oct. 4. Lakewood’s record improved to 2-8.

MARYSVILLE — Oshinay Taylor scored two goals and Hayli Huhta tacked on another in Marysville Getchell’s 3-0 win over Snohomish in soccer Oct. 4. MG’s record is 8-0-1.

STANWOOD – The Marysville-Pilchuck boys tennis team lost 7-0 to Stanwood Oct. 3. M-P’s record fell to 1-12.

OAK HARBOR — Arlington won all but one match over Oak Harbor in boys tennis Oct. 3. The winning matches were: Singles—Nicholas Mendro, 7-5, 5-7 and 6-4; Conner Fochesato, 5-7, 7-5 and 6-2; and Kenny Knutson 6-4 and 6-4; Doubles—Wren Pullig and Sean McCauley, 6-1 and 6-0; Kade Meyers and Isaish Mitzelfeldt, 6-0 and 6-0; Dean Shepherd and Burch Walker, 6-3, 3-6 and 6-0. Arlington’s record is 10-2.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington girls volleyball team defeated Edmonds-Woodway 3-0 (25-9, 25-20 and 25-20) Oct. 3.

Highlights for Arlington were: Morgan Van Laar with 11 kills and 12 digs; and Ariana Bilby with 10 kills and seven digs. Arlington’s record is 7-1.

MARYSVILLE — The Marysville-Pilchuck volleyball team defeated Shorecrest 3-0 (25-17, 25-21 and 25-19) Oct. 3.

Highlights for M-P were: Alexis Wojcicki with eights kills; Alecis Bundy added seven. M-P’s record improved to 2-5.

MARYSVILLE — Meadowdale edged Marysville Getchell in volleyball 3-2 (13-25, 25-23, 17-25, 25-20 and 15-6) Oct. 3.

Highlights for MG were: Robin Meador with 59 digs; and Ruth Reznikov with 13 kills. MG’s record dropped to 1-6.
