MARYSVILLE — A 50-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after a massive emergency response near Shoultes Elementary School.

Police say his wife called 9-1-1 about 7:45 p.m., saying he was suicidal and intoxicated before she heard gunshots.

Police say the man continued to fire shots, hitting a patrol car, an ambulance and a SWAT personnel carrier. He was arrested around 9:30 p.m. with no injuries reported.

A Marysville police spokesman said there was no indication that officers returned fire.
