Man’s body recovered from Stilly River

ARLINGTON – The body of an unidentified man was recovered from the Stillaguamish River Wednesday night. Around 5:30 p.m., two fisherman called 9-1-1 to report they had spotted a body in the water near 59th Ave. NE and Dike Ave. The fisherman waited with the body until local fire crews and the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife arrived.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Unit will conduct an investigation to determine if the death is suspicious.

Identification of the man, as well as cause and manner of death, will be confirmed by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner.
