Police seek help to ID suspect in espresso stand robbery

ARLINGTON – Arlington police seek the public’s help to identify a man in connection with a holdup at an espresso stand on Saturday, Jan. 7.

Police believe he may also be connected to three prior espresso stand robberies, hitting Diedrich Espresso on Wednesday, 13 Buffalos on Monday, both in Everett, and Grove Street Market & Espresso on Jan. 3.

The incident occurred about 3:50 p.m. when a man walked up to the drive-thru window at the Candy Stripe Bikini Barista Stand in the 21000 block of 67th Avenue NE, implied he had a weapon, and demanded money.

The suspect was last seen running south from the stand along 67th, police spokeswoman Kristin Banfield said. He fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. A K9 unit search to locate the suspect was unsuccessful.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his mid-20s to early 30s, wearing a baseball cap pulled down over his eyes under a dark-hooded sweatshirt, possibly dark brown in color.

Anyone with information about the crime, the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call 911. Refer to case #17-450.
