Stephanie Marie Hopper, 49, of Wichita Falls, Texas, went home to be with her Lord on Friday, July 6, 2007, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Stephanie was born Oct. 10, 1957, in Pomona, Calif. She spent her childhood and early adult years in Chino, Calif.
A resident of Washington state for many years, she finally found her soul mate while driving a truck over the road. They made their home in Texas.
Survivors include her husband, Steve Hopper of Wichita Falls; her mom, Aloha Whitlock of Yucaipa, Calif.; her dad, Jack Whitlock of Riverside, Calif.; siblings, Crystal Gomez of Tacoma, Wash.; Ron Stephenson and wife, DeAnne of Granite Falls, Wash.; Marla Rodriguez and husband, Danny of Pomona, Calif.; and Susie Thrasher of Yucaipa; many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly and she treasured being part of their lives; her loving in-laws, who took exceptional care of her, Don and RubyAnn Wills of Wichita Falls; and her best friend, Betsy Kimball of Bonner Springs, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the URHC Foundation, Cancer Care and Comfort Fund, 1600 Eighth Street, Wichita Falls, Texas, 76301.
Your lively spirit will be with us always and we will celebrate your life and be glad for the times we had with you. You are at peace now in the comfort of Gods arms.
Stephanie believed in angles and now she is one to watch over us.
