Timothy Charles Adams

Timothy Charles Adams, born November 4, 1952, in San Bernardino, CA, was the second child of William “Bill” and Charlene (Stanley) Adams.

He passed away peacefully in Arlington, WA, on October 27, 2017, at home surrounded by his family and friends. Tim moved from California to Arlington in the fall of 1968 with his family of origin, and remained there to marry his high school sweetheart, raise their family and become an active part of the Arlington community. Tim graduated in 1970 from Arlington High School. After graduation he went immediately to serve in the U.S. Air Force for four years as a cargo specialist. He was stationed most of his service time at McCord Air Force Base in Tacoma, WA. After leaving the Air Force he went to work for Bayliner/US Marine in Arlington. He was there for 35 years.

After a short time he took his IT skills to Emerson, which required him to live in Minneapolis, MN for 14 months. He was elated when Siemens Corporation asked him to join their IT team in February 2010, which meant he would work directly from home with occasional travel. Tim was actively working for Siemens when he became ill in July 2016.

After many months, and numerous surgeries, he was diagnosed with a rare bile duct cancer. He was originally given three months to live, but the Lord was gracious and gave us our long goodbye of 15 months. During his illness, Tim was able to show compassion and his love of Jesus to others, and continued to live his life to the fullest in between treatments, surgeries and being terminally ill. Tim developed a love for motorcycles at an early age. His entire life he rode for pleasure and belonged to various motorcycle groups. Tim and Vicki started “Consider This Ministries,” a motorcycle group with a focus on clean and sober living. There were many hours spent riding motorcycles with family and friends.

In 2003 he and Vicki took a five-week trek on their motorcycles across America. He and his friend Jim Blowers also rode to the Arctic Circle. Tim was very proud of being an Iron Butt rider as well. Tim had a very strong faith in God and His Son Jesus was his personal Savior. He loved studying the Word of God, applying it to his daily life, and sharing his faith with others. Tim became a licensed minister allowing him to perform many weddings and funerals, as well as counseling and teaching personal and spiritual growth classes. Tim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Vicki, their son, John Adams (Meadow) and his children, Damon (Catherine), Dylan,Demri (Cooper), their daughter, Malynda McCarter (TC) and her daughters, Kia, and Kennedy. He also leaves behind his mother, Charlene Shultz (Adams), sister, Sherri Sears and her sons, Matt (Carrie) and Nick (Kelley) Flatt, his brother, Mike Adams and his niece, Eryn Braulik Ohrt (Dillon). Tim was preceded in death by his two adopted special needs sons, Jimmy and Sean, his father, Bill, and his youngest sister, Lisa Braulik. Tim also leaves a large extended family including Kimi (Randy), Diona, Beni, Isabel, Chris (Pavy), Holly, Megan and their families as well as many lifelong friends, Roger Graafstra, Jim Novak, and the fellow Consider This Ministries team to name just a few. It is wonderful to be carried through life’s difficulties by people who really love you. A special thank you to Pastor Gale O’Neil of Arlington Community Church and to Tim’s Medical Team. They took great care of Tim physically and spiritually, as well as Obadiah his constant companion and emotional support dog.

Services will be Sunday, January 14, 2018, at 3 p.m. at Smokey Point Community Church. 7721 Smokey Point Blvd., Arlington, WA 98223. In lieu of flowers, please send a tax-deductible donation to VCS (Voices of the Village Music Program) where his two adopted sons participated in VOV, 3210 Smokey Point Dr. #200 Arlington, WA, 98223
