To Sabrie and Steve Taylor for doing their part to fight suicide by starting a teen hangout spot at the Marysville Boys and Girls Club.

To Snohomish County for honoring Marysville’s standout discus thrower Jarred Rome.

To Craig Iverson for his outstanding career as wrestling coach at Marysville-Pilchuck.

To Arlington for changing the Fly-In to August. Back to back with the 4th was just too much.

To all involved in getting the Regional Apprentice Pathways program at M-P this fall.

To Dave Koenig for his great job as Marysville’s Community Development director.

To Sam Gohar for fixing up the iconic Don’s Restaurant.

Misses

We’d love to see Biringer Farm in Arlington become part of the Marysville Strawberry Festival. Just because they aren’t in Marysville doesn’t mean that couldn’t happen. They used to be a big part of it. The Sunday after Kids Day would be a great time for that event. Then it wouldn’t conflict with the last Sunday of the Marysville event.

For former DABA president Jeff Phebus, who allegedly killed his wife.
