How about "Interdependence" day? Marysville

I must question our Marysville city ordinance regarding illegal fireworks. If a law is not enforced, in peoples' minds it ceases to be a law.
Homeowners are assaulted by illegal fireworks well before and after the Fourth of July. We are told by local police to call 911 and warned by local media not to call 911 unless your house is on fire.
We depend on law enforcement for our protection. We work hard to finally own our own homes and feel abandoned by those who are paid to protect us from law-breakers with incendiary devices.
The City Council should strongly consider designated areas for the community to go and participate together in these activities so that those of us who are literally bombarded in our neighborhoods can relax and enjoy the holiday.
Personally, as a homeowner in this city, I dread the irresponsible chaos that marks independence day in our nation.
A healthy community requires the "interdependence" of local government and citizens. I feel the citizens are out of control and our governing laws need to be enforced as written.
I truly want people to have fun. I just don't want to lose my home in the process.
