Letters to the Editor

Salvation Army thank you

The Salvation Army in Marysville would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the community of Marysville and surrounding areas for their generosity of resources and time in our efforts to help those affected by the flooding in Lewis County. The donation drop efforts took place last weekend. The donations received included: shovels, animal feed, cleaning products, water, blankets, etc. There was also a large monetary outpouring.
We would like to make a special note of thanks to Lee Anne Coxey (Arlington), the city of Marysville, Colt Burns (of Home Depot), Hogland Transport (Everett), Les Schwab (Marysville), Staples Office Supply, Boeing Interiors, Marysville Printing, KRKO 90.7 AM, as well as volunteers from Stanwood and Camano Island for their collaboration in efforts.
Thank you, Marysville, for hearing the call and taking action to help out your neighbors in need. Information on volunteer opportunities to the flooding in the Lewis County areas can be obtained from Northwest Division Headquarters of The Salvation Army, Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 206-217-1241.
Sean Kelsey, CSM, Salvation Army
