Letters to the Editor

Thank you from the Salvation Army

On Aug. 24, The Salvation Army officially opened our satellite office in Marysville, Wash., designed to provide emergency family services to the communities of Marysville, Tulalip and northern Snohomish County. What was truly amazing to us was the wonderful reception we received from your community since we first announced our plans.
We applaud the strong, collaborative relationship between the city of Marysville, the Tulalip Tribes and the membership of the Greater Marysville Tulalip Chamber of Commerce. We cant thank everyone who has succeeded in embracing our efforts, but wish to express our gratitude to Marysville Mayor Kendall; Mel Sheldon, Chairman, Tulalip Tribes; Caldie Rogers, Chamber President; Councilwoman Carmen Rasmussen; Councilwoman Donna Wright; and Marilyn Sheldon and David Troyer, Chamber past and present Chairpersons.
Citizens, business leaders and government officials in your warm and caring community have gone out of their way to ensure a seamless opening for The Salvation Army, our first expansion in over 100 years. Many thanks and heres to helping people in crisis together.
