Supporting new library
August 27, 2008 · Updated 8:01 PM
I am writing in support of Arlingtons upcoming library bond issue. Libraries are a vital link in the education of our children, and an important part of our communities.
In my first term in the legislature, there was a proposal to close our state library. The outcry from my constituents showed me the extraordinary support that exists for our libraries. This confirmed my belief as to the importance of libraries in our state.
If this bond passes, a large and modern library facility will be located close to schools, within walking distance for many Arlington kids, and convenient for citizens. It is my hope that you will consider this worthy proposal.
