Im writing on behalf of the Arlington Professional Firefighters Local 3728. We are publicly endorsing Barbara Tolbert for the Arlington City Council. Barbara contacted us a few months ago asking if she could attend our union meeting. We were honored that a candidate for City Council would ask to attend our meeting.
Barbara was the only candidate (incumbent or challenger) to ask to talk with the Firefighters Union. We have known Barbara for many years through her work with the EAA Fly-In. Barbara has always supported the Fire Department and has helped us adopt an emergency response plan for the EAA Fly-In. We rarely endorse candidates for any political office, but after hearing her vision and plans for the growth in the city of Arlington, we were proud to offer her our support and full endorsement. Barbara has a proven record of commitment and support for the community.
The city of Arlington is growing at an astonishing rate. Currently, Barbara serves on numerous committees dealing with many of the cities growth issues. We are confident Barbaras years as Executive Director of the Fly-In and community involvement makes her the right candidate for the job. She emphasizes the need for the city to adopt a solid revenue plan so that services including transportation, public safety and emergency services stay ahead of growth. Please vote for Barbara Tolbert, Arlington City Council Position No. 3.
