As I drove my car in line at the Arlington Cleanup Day at the airport (at 2:59, and they closed at 3:00), I was first really glad that I made it, but second was really appreciative this service is provided for our community. The day was quite warm, and the city employees were obviously hot and tired, but still in good humor and wonderfully helpful. There was some sorting of items going on, which is great for our environment. And — another huge benefit is this Cleanup Day is provided at no charge, and for a lot of us, right now ‘free’ is just the right price. Thank you to the city of Arlington, Mark Hayes and all the other city employees.
