The Relay for Life keeps on giving even after the event is over. I would like to extend a big thank you to the Marysville Fire Department for their participation in the North Snohomish County Relay.

One of their fundraising ideas was to offer a drawing for yard work services. Well, I won the drawing. Guess what all you gardeners out there, three firemen came to my home for almost two hours of their own time. They planted trees and pulled weeds in my rose garden. I loved it!

What maybe the firemen didn’t know was I have not had the same time available for outdoor yard work due to the recent loss of my dad from pancreatic and liver cancer and we also have been caring for our puppy with a fractured shoulder. I just needed a hand around our place and these men came and did just that!! So Remember the Relay next year and visit the Marysville Fire Station Booth, maybe you will win next year.

I would like to thank Ronnie Morton, Chris Skagen, Grant Elsworth from the Marysville Fire Station. Great Job, Great Attitude and Great Smiles.
