New website helps Times readers interact with newspaper

MARYSVILLE – The Marysville Globe and The Arlington Times have a new website that makes it much easier for you to get us information you want to share with our 20,000 readers.

When you go to www.marysvilleglobe.com or www.arlingtontimes.com you will notice at the top the big story of the day. Right below that is “The Latest” news, which will be from that day or just before.

Following that news section, which will have multiple photographs as teaser, there is a list of the Top 5 stories being seen by our readers, along with environmentally friendly Green edition of the current newspaper.

Following that is the Sports section, with more news after that. Next there is a section on comments we receive on different stories. The Opinion page is next, with editorials, submitted columns, letters to the editor, political cartoons and more.

The next section if called “Life,” which is the lighter side of the newspaper, including features, etc. And finally there is the Business section.

There are a variety of ways for you to send us information for any one of these sections.

At the very top of the page you will see the Menu. The first item is a magnifying glass to search for information. The Home page also is there, which is the one already described.

Following that the buttons are:

News: Where you can submit a story idea, a photograph or a press release.

Business: Where you can submit business news.

Sports: Where you can submit sports results.

Life: Where you can see the calendar, put items on the calendar, see the weather forecast, and also provide announcements for births, weddings and anniversaries.

Opinion: You can see the Letters to the editor and submit one.

Obits: You can submit an obituary.
