Lakewood harriers represented well at Mt. Baker invite

The Lakewood boys and girls cross country team fared quite well at the Mt. Baker Invitational Saturday, Sept. 30.
Freshman Taylor Guske was the overall freshman winner, running the 3-mile course in 16:55.99.
Chad Skiles finished 19th overall in a time of 18:15.34, Mitchel Gogert 39th in 19:17.18 and Nick Howe 44th in 19:28.74.
For the junior varsity, Austin Young finished 40th in a time of 18:41.37, Byron Gouette 55th in 18:53.84, James Mattson 64th in 19:06.87 and Thomas Scheffer 65th in 19:07.37.
Senior James Ervin finished first for the Lakewood varsity and 45th overall in a time of 16:43.84.
Sophomore Nick Devier finished 84th in 17:22.24 and junior Terrrence Ordonez 98th in 17:29.99.
For the Lady Cougars, senior Michelle Howe finished 39th in the junior varsity race with a time of 23:09.40.
Freshman Amber Burnell was close behind in 41st with a time of 23:13.02 and senior Kristen Edeen 54th in 23:46.34.
Senior Lady Cougar Corrine Gogert finished 54th overall and first for Lakewood in a time of 20:17.78.
Junior Sarah Dunn came in 86th in a time of 21:00.46 and senior Danielle Osti 92nd in 21:10.93.
