Lady Loggers start league play 2-0

The Lady Loggers basketball team defeated La Conner and Mt. Vernon Christian to start their Northwest 1A/2B league schedule a perfect 2-0.
Thursday, Dec. 14, Darrington prevailed over Mt. Vernon Christian 31-22 at Mt. Vernon High School.
Senior 5-foot-11 inch post player Jill Frable led the Lady Loggers with 12 points.
Darrington hosted La Conner Tuesday, Dec. 12, at the Darrington Community Center and overcame an early deficit to win 42-35.
Junior guard Jordan Corley led all scorers with 16 points and the Lady Loggers used a 23-3 third quarter to pull away for the victory.
