Arlington sluggers start 1-0

ARLINGTON — The Arlington baseball team defeated Glacier Peak in a 7-5 shootout March 17.

Senior Kyle Ayres started on the mound for the Eagles, with Jon Van Eyk and Danny Huleatt relieving.

Arlington's 10 hits were spread out among the team. Junior Justin Surber was 3-for-3 at bat with two RBI and two runs, while Van Eyk was 2-for-3 with two doubles. Seniors Thane Street and Curtis Johnson each had a hit for two RBI.

The game was rescheduled from March 16. The boys visit Lynnwood March 18 and begin league at Monroe March 21.
