The Arlington and Marysville-Pilchuck softball teams meet today in the second day of the district tournament with their seasons on the line.
They took different roads to this game. On the ptiching of sr Christina Rayner, the Eagles have controlled most of their games, allowing few hits. The defending district champion M-P girls have struggled with injuries and clutch hitting. In the first day of district play, M-P struggled with errors against Stanwood, rebounding to eliminate Snohomish 6-3 and keep their state dreams alive. Arlington defeated Shorewood in their opener but fell 3-2 in extra innings to nemesis Cascade.
The winner of this game plays the winner of Stanwood-Shorewood. Stick around for that game 15 minutes after this one.
