Arlington girls win in slugfest

ARLINGTON – The Arlington girls softball team beat Shorewood 18-11 in a slugfest last week.

The Eagles trailed 9-6 in the fourth inning, before exploding for 12 runs in the next three innings to put the game away.

Tia Langley hit a triple and Karleigh Coker a double for the winners. Taylor Zodrow was the winning pitcher.
