M-P, Arlington basketball teams seeded for state tournament

Tommies at EvCC; boys in Tacoma; girls at Battle Ground

Fourth-seeded Marysville-Pilchuck gets a home game in the state regionals Saturday – well, sort of.

The Tomahawks will play fifth-seeded Kelso at Everett Community College at noon in nearby Everett.

On Friday, the Arlington boys basketball team, seeded 13th, will play 12th seed Wilson at 6 p.m. at Mount Tahoma High School in Tacoma.

In the girls 3A bracket, eighth-seeded Arlington plays top-rated Prairie at noon Saturday at Battle Ground High School.

If the Eagle boys lose, they are out of the state playoffs.

Win or lose, since the M-P boys and Arlington girls both are seeded in the top eight, they will advance to state at the Tacoma Dome and play Feb. 27 if they lose or Feb. 28 if they win.
