MARYSVILLE – Bryan Sanders and Trenton Hurst each ran for more than 100 yards, and Sanders scored twice to lead Marysville-Pilchuck to a 20-14 win over Squalicum Friday night at Quil Ceda Stadium.

Kicker Edgar Martinez connected on field goals of 39 and 29 yards.

M-P jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter after Sanders scored on a 9-yard run and Martinez hit on the longer of his two field goals.

But the Storm’s Diego Corona ran wild in the second quarter, scoring on runs of 20 and 2 yards to give the visitors a 14-10 lead.

Sanders scored again from 2-yards out to put the Tommies ahead 17-14 at half.

Both teams tightened up their defenses in the second half, the only score being in the third quarter when Martinez connected on the shorter field goal.

Midway through the third quarter a Stanwood punt bounced out of bounds at the 1-yard line.
