M-P wins; Arlington loses; Eagles on to districts

Football

Marysville-Pilchuck’s season ended Thursday night with a 56-34 romp over Lakeside.

The Tommies ended the season at 7-3, one of their best marks in years.

Unfortunately they didn’t make the playoffs, as they tied for fourth in the league with Ferndale. They didn’t get to advance because they lost to that team earlier in the year.

Girls soccer

They went on a winning streak and fought hard to get there, but Arlington fell one game short of going to state, losing to Edmonds-Woodway 4-0 Thursday night.

Sophia Martino-Crew’s hat trick lifted E-W (16-3). Arlington ended its season at 9-10-1.

Girls volleyball

Arlington has qualified for the 3A District 1 Tournament.

It will play at Ferndale Tuesday at 7 p.m.
