Darrington cant solve Toutle Lake

The Darrington Logger football team, 10-0 after a remarkable regular season run, met their match on Nov. 10. The Loggers ran into a motivated group from Toutle Lake and fell into a big hole early, before nearly clawing their way back for a win.
Darrington trailed 13-0 after one quarter before a 60-yard touchdown run by Mike Parris put them back in contention. Joe Dolphs extra point made it 13-7 and Mark Jones tied the game in the third quarter with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Justin ODell. The PAT by Dolph failed and the game was tied 13-13. Toutle answered with a touchdown of their own in the fourth quarter to win 19-13, ending the Loggers season. It was a tough loss for Darrington but did nothing to take away the achievements of the season. Darrington ran away with a league championship after going winless in league the year before. They ran off a 10-game winning streak, including a playoff victory over Seattle Lutheran.
