The Darrington Horse Owners Association presents the 2007 Timber Bowl Rodeo June 30-July 1.
The rodeo will be held at the Darrington Timber Bowl Grounds, at the foot of the Cascade Mountains.
Participants from all over the Northwest will be in town to demonstrate their skills in calf roping, barrel racing, break-away roping, and team roping categories. Contestants will also wrestle steers, attempt to milk wild cows, and ride bucking broncos. The culminating event of the festival will be the bull riding contest as well as the rodeo court, featuring a queen and princesses.
The rodeo is a family event with fun for all ages. One of the events most beloved by youngsters is the muttin busting, or sheep riding. Contestants will attempt to bring down a running sheep. For more information, call 360-436-0209.
