ARLINGTON – Work will start Nov. 2 on a helistop for Cascade Valley Hospital.
Construction is expected to take up to six weeks. Work will occur weekdays during daylight hours.
When the helistop is operational, the hospital expects up to two flights per month that could occur at any time day or night.
The helistop will be constructed on the grassy field south of the hospital’s main parking lot, east of Stillaguamish Avenue and north of E. Highland Drive.
Construction will include ground work, installing a concrete pad, painting and lighting.
Currently, patients needing air transport are driven to Arlington Municipal Airport by medics.
