Arlington council to look at budget tonight (Dec. 1)

ARLINGTON – The City Council will look to approve a budget with almost $42 million in expenditures and $41.7 million in revenue at its meeting tonight at 7:15 at City Hall.

ARLINGTON – The City Council will look to approve a budget with almost $42 million in expenditures and $41.7 million in revenue at its meeting tonight at 7:15 at City Hall.

The budget starts at $18.82 million and would end at $18.55 million.

Major costs are:

• Water-sewer $9.3 million.

• Airport $4.1 million

• EMS $2.6 million.

• Transportation improvements $1.7 million.

• Public works $1.3 million.

• Street maintenance $1 million.

• The general fund is $14.4 million.

Before the council meeting the Transportation Benefit board meeting will start at 7.

Also at the council meeting, it is expected to ratify these mayoral appointments.

• James Kelly, Public Works Director

• Bruce Stedman, Director of Public Safety (Police Chief/Fire Chief)
