Lucille Olena Wangsmo

Lucille Olena Wangsmo, 85, passed away peacefully on Oct. 13, 2006. She was born April 18, 1921 in Montevideo, Minn. Lucille lived most of her life in Arlington and Camano Island.
She retired from Seattle First National Bank. Lucille had many hobbies; sewing, knitting, traveling, fishing, bingo and spending time with her grandchildren. Her interests included Bridge Club, Hospital Guild, Degree of Honor Protective Association, Daughters of Norway and Fire Sirens. She was also a member of Our Saviours Lutheran Church in Arlington.
Lucille is survived by her children, Gary (Judy) Wangsmo, Barbara (Gerry) Wigren, Steve (Jan) Wangsmo; brother, Ben (Evelyn) Knudson Jr.; grandchildren, Tanya (Jason Dhanens) Wangsmo, Tara (Mike) Schwab, Tasha (Jason) McDonald, Jorge Berrios, Staci (John) OConnor, Michael Wigren, Afton Wangsmo; great-grandchildren, Trinity and Miciah Wigren, Joseph and Anna Schwab, Ava McDonald and Christian OConnor. She also leaves a special caregiver and friend, Jeanna Christianson.
Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Arne Wangsmo; father, Bennie Knudson and mother, Olga (Dalen) Knudson; sister, Helen Bergan.
Visitation will be Oct. 19, from 1 – 7 p.m. at Weller Funeral Home in Arlington. Memorial services will be held Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Silvana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you make a donation to one of two charities. Donations can be made to Childrens Hospital and Regional Medical Center (Seattle) or Little White Church On The Hill Cemetery, in care of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Silvana.
All who knew Lucille considered her to be a very loving, gentle, kind, thoughtful and generous person. She was a devoted mother and grandmother and a good role model for her family. She will be truly missed.
