Tuesday ends primary election, also National Night Out events set

Primary election deadline to mail in ballots is Tuesday, Aug. 4. That’s also the day of National Night Out fight against crime, and there are three events locally.

So far, 12.3 percent of ballots in Snohomish County have been returned, or 51,725 out of 421,419.

Among the larger counties in the state, Spokane leads with 19.3 percent followed by King at 11.9 percent and Pierce at 10.3.

As for National Night Out;

In Arlington, from 5 to 8 p.m., there will be neighborhood block parties, including one at Haller Park, 1100 West Ave.

In Marysville, from 6 to 8 p.m., there will be one at Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave. It’s been changed from Asbery Field.

In Tulalip, from 5 to 7 p.m., there will be one at the Tulalip Boys and Girls Club, 7707 36th Dr. NW.
