Members of the Elite Underground gym in Darrington have won a number of weight lifting gold medals at the recent Washington State competitions. Coach Al Dawson holds various state records in the dead lift and pull. His proteges have all qualified for Nationals in Anaheim by placing in the top three of their lifting divisions at State.
