Its been a tough season of injuries for the Arlington Eagles boys basketball squad.
Team captain and leading scorer Cole Carpenter has missed a number of games due to an ongoing struggle with the health of his left hip. Starting center Caleb Scarth has missed action as well, recovering from a strained oblique. Scarth played an excellent game for the Eagles during their 67-52 loss to Lake Stevens on Jan. 2 but it wasnt enough to carry the young team to a victory.
Scarth finished with 25 points, his high total for the young season, showing how much his presence is needed in the lineup. Will Heath continued his all-around good play, contributing 11 points of his own, as well as plenty of pressure defense on the Viking guards.
But the Eagles simply did not have enough firepower to overtake Lake Stevens massive front line, and fell to 1-4 in league, 2-7 overall.
