ARLINGTON — The Arlington Aviators and Wenatchee Fire played to a 10-10 tie on Friday, Jan. 25, in Wenatchee.

The Arlington Aviators have not played in the friendly confines of Soccer First Indoor Sports Arena since Dec. 21 in a match that saw a victory over the Burnaby Titans. Since then the Aviators assumed the identity of “Road Warriors” engaging in fierce battles and emerged victorious against Bellingham, Snohomish and Burnaby. Wenatchee would be their last opponent before returning home to Arlington to finish the last two games of the regular season.

The last time these teams met, the Arlington Aviators’ had a strong 8-4 win. It was in that game that the Aviators found their ways as an offensive juggernaut, generating exciting goals from impressive precision passing. The game would be more offensive even in terms of the score, with both teams netting 10 goals.

The Aviators are frustrated with the tie but remain focused as they take on their rivals the Whatcom Rapids from Bellingham on Feb. 1. The match kicks off at 7 p.m. at Soccer First Indoor Sports Arena at 19805 74th Ave NE, Arlington, WA 98223.
