Thousands of runners raced for the best times during the District 1 2A/3A/4A Cross Country Championships, which took place at Lakewood High School on Saturday, Oct. 27, and local athletes took some of the top spots.

ARLINGTON — The Rotary Club of Arlington is sponsoring a year-long exchange for high school students as part of the Rotary International Youth Exchange Program. The Arlington Club has sponsored Sandra Maroto Lombao from Madrid, Spain, for the 2012-13 school year and sent Samantha Arndt, a sophomore from Lakewood High School, to France for a year.
