About the same time a woman was being rescued on Pilchuck River near Lake Stevens by the Snohomish County Technical Water Rescue Team, Snohomish County Volunteer Search and Rescue, Fire District 4 and the Sheriff’s office helicopter SNOHAWK 10, another team of firefighters and emergency medical technicians were busy getting trained for the same kind of thing on the Sauk River south of Darrington.
