Grand opening for newly expanded Arlington casino set for Oct. 24

ARLINGTON – Angel Of The Winds Casino Resort will celebrate the grand opening of the 2019 Xpansion project Oct. 24-28.

The ribbon-cutting kicks off the festivities at 10 a.m. on the 24th.

The lineup of new features consists of a parking garage, a completely remodeled casino with an expanded gaming area, Strikerz Bowling, All Things Sports, Rivers Run Event Center, Whiskey Prime Steakhouse, Jade Fusion, Riverside Buffet, Gateway Bar and Gravity Bar.

“After more than a year of construction, and especially these last couple of months with the remodeling of the casino floor, it is great to see the final product,” said Travis O’Neil, general manager. The parking garage provides direct access to the gaming floor with a new Gift Shop and Keno Lounge.

Strikerz Bowling, the newest alley in the area in 30 years, provides 16 lanes and features all-ages bowling for families and four lanes that can be reserved for corporate and private events. Guests can play traditional games or HyperBowling games, which allow guests to raise the bumpers and play

unique challenges the whole family can enjoy. Strikerz Bowling also offers several bowling leagues,.

All Things Sports offers virtual sports simulators that feature both golf and multi-sport packages. For golf, guests can play premier courses like Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines. The multi-sport package offers everything from baseball and football to lacrosse and even zombie dodgeball.

The 8,800-square-foot Rivers Run Event Center is already proving to be popular with a sold out Bret Michaels’ show Oct. 26 followed by rockers Foghat Nov. 9 and a holiday collaboration between country stars Phil Vassar and Lonestar Dec. 4.

Whiskey Prime Steakhouse features an array of steaks, chops, seafood and local barrel-aged whiskey, plus a selection of meals prepared tableside.

Guests looking for an Oriental twist can visit Jade Fusion, which has a menu full of selections from across Southeast Asia. Options including sushi, wonton soup, chow mein, beef and broccoli, prawns, and more.

Riverside Buffet features fresh, made-to-order items and rotating nightly themes. It includes large artistic décor, including a wave-like glass feature hanging from the ceiling. The themes include Italian Feast, All-You-Can-Eat Seafood, Prime Rib and Lobster Tail, Asian Gourmet and Mexican Fiesta.

Gateway Bar is near Strikerz Bowling and Rivers Run Event Center. Gravity Bar is Located in the center of the gaming action.
