As a commissioners wife at District 14, I would like to bring to everyones attention the Fire Districts Proposition 1, which is to be voted on May 15.
I recently visited Arlington, where I lived until I graduated from high school in 1968, for the first time in over 10 years. Having lived in Southern California for almost 40 years, my vision of future retirement has been that of living at least part of the year in the small town atmosphere coupled with above average infrastructure that Arlington provides.
I am humbled; I am in awe, kneeling but five feet from the monstrance, the vessel used to publicly show, worship and honor the Eucharistic Jesus Christ. Radiating rays of purified gold surround the body of Jesus within the monstrance. It is like the Transfiguration of Christ arrayed in dazzling brightness.
Have a day at the spa and help raise money for the Arlington High School Seniors all-night Grad Night Party. The Stillaguamish Athletic Club is opening its doors Sunday, May 6, from 2 8 p.m., for the Arlington High School Seniors Grad Night fundraiser.
On Wednesday, April 11, over 150 people gathered for a southern-style supper and vesper concert at Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
The Arlington Food Bank would like to thank the community for all the food and cash donations during this holiday season. With special thanks to Haggen Foods, Arlington Fire Department, Angel of the Winds Casino, Bayliner U.S. Marine, Arlington Food Pavilion as well as all of the Schools and Scout Troops. With your help we were able to hand out over 500 baskets between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
As we enter a new year we would like to give our heartfelt thanks to the many individuals and groups who made the holidays extra special for our food bank patrons.
Kirk Boxleitner, thank you for the great article you wrote about the Shop with a Cop program (The Arlington Times, Dec. 20, 2006). We have received tons of positive feedback. We also liked seeing the fire truck on page three. Happy New Year.

This is a response to Input from Readers in the Jan. 10 issue.
As I said last year, one of the luxuries of retirement is being able to attend all meetings. I have maintained a perfect attendance as of this writing.
Scott Solla, present Arlington City Councilman, loves his position. If you were not aware, he is running to retain his position No. 3 on the Arlington City Council. I would like to tell you about the man you dont know. Scott is not the type of person who will toot his own horn so I will toot it for him.
As my term as Fire District 19 Commissioner comes to an end, I would like to thank the people of the Silvana community for their support over the past 36 years. I am proud to have been able to serve the neighbors and friends of our small community.
