On behalf of the Marysville Community Food Bank and its Board of Directors, I want to extend our deep appreciation to the Snohomish Camano Realtors for all their efforts in conducting a food drive Sept. 14 through Oct. 15. The results were far beyond our expectations, in both food and cash that were contributed.
The enthusiasm and time that went into the drive shows what wonderful, community-minded people are involved in the real estate profession.
The Marysville Food Bank is one of 19 that make up the membership of the Snohomish County Food Bank Coalition, and we all take a great deal of pride in the way our residents, business people, service clubs, schools and others respond to the continuous request for food and money donations. The realtors food drive brought in more then $5,000 in cash and 5,000 pounds of food. This was an effort in which they can take a great deal of pride and satisfaction.
Again, we want to extend our gratitude to all those who participated in this highly successful food drive. It goes a long way in helping us carry out our mission of feeding the hungry in our community.
