Thanks from Oso Community Food Bank for Thanksgiving, X-Mas donations

Oso Community Food Bank would like to thank the members of the community and area businesses for the food, money and gifts that we received during this Thanksgiving and Christmas season. The generosity of so many groups and individuals, who gave during the holidays, far exceeded our expectations in so many ways.

Thanks to Arlington Safeway, Arlington Food Pavilion and Nelson Potato Factory for the generous contributions of food. Thanks to those who donated to Windermere Realty’s blanket and coat drive, and especially to Jennifer for braving the elements to get them delivered to us.

A special thanks to the employees of Arlington School District Bus Garage and the members of St. Andrew Orthodox Church. With their help in planning a food and money drive on our behalf we were able to fill enough holiday baskets to feed all of our patrons and it also enabled us to start the New Year with food on our shelves. We take our hats off to the people who give to these drives, for without you there would be little to give.

A thanks to all the community neighbors who so generously gave food and cash at Oso’s Annual Christmas Dinner. A mere thank you seems inadequate to convey our gratitude to everyone who gave so willingly.

We are also extremely grateful for the donations that were given in memory of Millie Krause. In a time of sadness many lives were touched in a positive way and for that we thank you.

We thank Oso Community Chapel for their continued support throughout the entire year and no letter would be complete without extending a warm thank you to our volunteers. These people go above and beyond in so many ways to keep the doors open and things running smoothly all year long.

What a blessing to know that each and every one of you had a part in helping those in need with your generosity, support and overall kindness.

God bless you and Happy New Year.
