ARLINGTON — The Arlington Library, located at 135 N. Washington Ave., has a full calendar of events scheduled for the month of May.

Mondays at 7 p.m. on May 7-21 will be reserved for the Ready Readers’ Family Storytime, during which children and their favorite adults will be able to let their imaginations run wild with fun books, sing-along songs and creative activities that prepare young minds for the adventures of reading. Caregivers are required for the Ready Readers programs, which are supported by the Friends of the Arlington Library.

Thursday, May 3, will bring teen gaming back to the Arlington Library at 3 p.m., also courtesy of the Friends of the Arlington Library and the Sno-Isle Libraries Foundation. Teens can play Wii or Xbox Kinect games at the Arlington Library.

Moving on to more grownup fare, the Computer Basics class at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 5, will teach adults about Internet navigation and some websites they’ll want to know about, while the Computer Basics class at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, will cover how to make the most of email features, for those who already have mouse skills and existing email accounts. Class size is limited for Computer Basics, so preregistration is required for both classes.

Monday, May 7, will see a seminar on “Networking Into Your Next Job: How to Use LinkedIn For Your Job Search” at 10 a.m. in the Arlington City Council Chambers, located at 110 E. Third St., in partnership with the city of Arlington and WorkSource. Preregistration is required.

The Arlington Book Group’s meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, to discuss “The Art of Racing in the Rain” by Garth Stein, will be followed by the Wednesday, May 9, meeting of the Friends of the Arlington Library at 3:30 p.m.
