Whether the weather gets nicer or not, summer is on the way, meaning car buffs will be showing off their vehicles at local car shows.

The first one is June 10 – the Show and Shine Car Show in Arlington, put on annually by the Downtown Arlington Business Association.

Food, drink and other vendors and activities for kids will be provided.

The Marysville Strawberry Festival is next, June 17 at Asbery Field. It is part of a huge festival that includes The Market, Beer Garden and live entertainment at the same location, along with the Kiddies and Grand Parades a few blocks away on State, and a midway a few blocks away the other direction at Marysville Middle School.

Next up is the 5th Annual Rhodes River Ranch Car Show and Brunch Aug 5 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Brunch costs $25 per driver, and $15 per visitor. For details call 425-275-8540.

The final car show of the summer will be Sept. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It’s called the Arlington Drag Race Reunion and Car Show. There are raffles, door prizes and about 50 trophies to be awarded. Racing demonstrations and refreshments will be available. For details call 360-652-6910.
