MARYSVILLE – Despite cloudy skies thousands of people attended the city’s annual Touch a Truck event Saturday.
As always, the longest line formed to ride the mini train that takes kids and adults alike around the Asbery Field track.
Children also played with toy vehicles in the sand in the long-jump pit and watched a toy race-car competition. The city gave out a grab bag filled with items like coloring books and a safety vest.
Police and fire vehicles were there, and the fire department gave out junior fire helmets.
Rudy Raccoon was on hand with a Marysville School District bus.
Kids were able to learn how to manipulate a crane at the Army booth.
Another favorite of the children was the big rigs brought by the city used to do all types of work. The loud horns were extremely popular – with the kids anyway.
