Music in the Park continues through August

The city of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department's Music in the Park series is continuing every Thursday in August at 6:30 p.m. at Terrace Park.

ARLINGTON — The city of Arlington Parks and Recreation Department’s Music in the Park series is continuing every Thursday in August at 6:30 p.m. at Terrace Park.

On Aug. 6, the Bucking Horse band from Sultan performed a variety of country music favorites, while the Tiller’s Folly, a Canadian band, plays a mixture of Celtic, bluegrass and folk music Aug. 14.

Creme Tangerine, a Beatles tribute band from Seattle, will play Aug. 20, and on Aug. 27, the ZZ Top tribute band “El Loco” will perform.

City of Arlington Recreation Coordinator Sarah Hegge explained that this free event includes hot food and strawberry shortcakes from the “Lord’s Little Cooker.” Proceeds from their concession sales will go toward feeding the homeless.
