ARLINGTON – The Arlington Library is having two astronomy events this week, librarian Abby Bormann said in an email Monday.

The first is Aug. 11 at Twin Rivers Park at 8:30 p.m. Veteran astronomer Kevin Manning is leading the event, called, “Look up to the Night Sky.” The second is Aug. 12 at 1 p.m. at the Stillaguamish conference room at Haller Park. Manning is putting on a different program called, “Look up to the Stars.”

Bormann said she will be distributing a limited number of eclipse glasses to attendees on a first-come, first-served basis.

She also said the Kennedys will not be putting on an event there. A previous brief in the Times was incorrect.
