Arlington drops game to Oak Harbor; Arlington softball slips to Edmonds-Woodway (slide show)

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood softball team defeated Sultan 11-10 April 27. Jenna Melton was four-for-five at the plate, hitting two doubles, a triple, five RBI and stole home to win the game. Teammate Alexis Lampinen was three-for-four with four RBI and a grand slam. Lakewood improved its record to 7-8.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood baseball team was blanked by Cedarcrest 6-0 April 27, and also 10-0 April 25. Lakewood’s record is 3-15.

ARLINGTON — The Marysville Getchell boys soccer team prevailed 2-0 over Arlington April 26. Tajinder Signh and Nathan Snyder scored for MG, which improved its record to 3-5-5 and dropped Arlington to 3-8-2.

EVERETT — The Arlington girls tennis team defeated Everett 6-1 April 26. Arlington’s winners were: singles—Livia Markwart, 6-1 and 6-1; Aleida Garduno-Craviato, 6-0 and 6-0; Layla Garduno-Craviato, 6-4 and 6-4; and Lily Bynum, 0-6, 6-3 and 6-2. Doubles—Gigi Moss and Sierra Roach, 6-3, 4-6 and 6-2; Demi Catwright and Bethany Barnett, 6-4, 3-6 and 4-1. Arlington’s record is 10-1 and is first in the Wesco 3A north league.

ARLINGTON — Arlington lost the lead to Edmonds-Woodway 8-7 in softball April 26. Alex Orozco led Arlington with a stolen base, a run and an RBI. Arlington’s record dropped to 6-9.

LYNNWOOD — The Lakewood boys golf team lost to King’s 208-286 April 26 at Mill Creek Country Club. CJ McClellan led Lakewood with a 49.

ARLINGTON — The Marysville-Pilchuck baseball team got the best of Arlington in the final game of a three-game series 8-0 April 25. M-P improved its record to 11-4 and dropped Arlington to 10-5. M-P leads first in the Wesco 3A north league.

DUVALL — The Lakewood baseball team was blanked 10-0 by Cedarcrest April 25. Lakewood’s record dropped to 3-14.

ARLINGTON — The Arlington boys golf team placed second out of six teams with a score of 427 at a Wesco 3A match at Gleneagle Golf Course April 25. Arlington’s Austin Faux scored a 76 over the 18 holes. Marysville-Pilchuck placed third with a score of 461 with JD Truex scoring an 81. Marysville Getchell was led by Justin Good with a 98.
