Arlington girls, M-P boys draw opponents for state Thursday

The Arlington girls will play early in the day and the Marysville-Pilchuck boys late when the state 3A high school basketball tournament starts Thursday at the Tacoma Dome.

The Lady Eagles, ranked sixth in state, will play Bishop Blanchet, ranked seventh, at 10:30 a.m. Arlington has a record of 22-3, while their foes are 22-8.

Unranked M-P will take on Eastside Catholic in the 9 p.m. game. The Tommies are 19-6 while their opponents are 23-6 and ranked sixth in state.

The winner of the Arlington girls game will play at 3:45 p.m. Friday against the Cleveland-Wilson winner.

The victor of M-P’s contest will play Friday at 9 p.m. against the winner of the Bellevue-Rainier Beach contest.
