SUMNER — The Arlington girls soccer team are headed to the final four of the 3A State Tournament.

SUMNER — The Arlington girls soccer team are headed to the final four of the 3A State Tournament.

Seniors Danielle Baker and Olivia Larson of Arlington put together the game-winning goal to defeat Sumner 1-0 at the 3A quarterfinals Nov. 14.

Arlington senior goalkeeper Kat Sanchez was there for Arlington again, as she came up with three important saves in the second half, and the Eagles continued to control the ball through the rest of the game, coach Nathan Davis said.

Arlington’s record is 16-4 and will play Southridge in the state semifinals Friday, Nov. 20, at 2 p.m. at Sparks Stadium in Puyallup.

If Arlington wins, they will advance to the finals against either Edmonds-Woodway or Seattle Prep Saturday, Nov. 21, at the same time and place. If they lose, Arlington will play for third against the loser of the semifinal game at 10 a.m. Saturday.
