Arlington man dies in I-5 accident

ARLINGTON – A 37-year-old Arlington man died Monday when the vehicle he was a passenger in lost control on Interstate 5 and went off the highway.

ARLINGTON – A 37-year-old Arlington man died Monday when the vehicle he was a passenger in lost control on Interstate 5 and went off the highway.

The vehicle struck an embankment and rolled into a ditch. Michael D. Taylor was trapped in the vehicle and died, the Washington State Patrol report says.

The 32-year-old driver, Sarah R. DeRosier, was ejected. She was taken to Skagit Valley Hospital and then to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The accident happened at 7:09 a.m. in the Bow Hill area. The report says neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt.

Charges are pending.
