Arlington officer, K9 involved in collision

ARLINGTON – An Arlington K9 police officer was involved in a two-car collision Dec. 17 en route to a domestic violence call.

ARLINGTON – An Arlington K9 police officer was involved in a two-car collision Dec. 17 en route to a domestic violence call.

Shortly before 9 p.m. the police car collided with another vehicle at the intersection of State Route 531 and Smokey Point Boulevard, even though he had his lights and siren on.

Four people were transported to Cascade Valley Hospital in Arlington for evaluation, including the officer. All have been released.

The officer’s K9 partner was transported to a local veterinary clinic for evaluation and released.

Arlington police has requested Washington State Patrol to investigate the collision.
