ARLINGTON — Arlington Police are requesting the public’s help to identify and apprehend a suspect in three recent espresso stand robberies.
The first robbery occurred on February 23 at approximately 11:30 a.m. in the 500 block of N. Olympic Avenue, and required five public schools in the area to go on lockdown as a precautionary measure.
The second robbery occurred on Wednesday, March 14, at approximately 2:30 p.m. in the 600 block of N. Broadway Avenue.
The third robbery occurred on Thursday, March 15, at approximately 1:45 p.m. in the 5200 block of 172nd Street NE.
In all three cases, a woman approached the stand and demanded cash, the victims complied with the request and the suspect was able to flee the scene.
The suspect is described as being a white woman between 35-45 years old, standing between 5 feet, 3 inches and 5 feet, 5 inches tall, and weighing approximately 130-140 pounds, with brown eyes, brown hair, and wearing a black trench coat.
In at least one incident, the suspect was armed with a pistol.
In the last two robberies, the suspect was seen leaving as a passenger in a white four-door Cadillac Seville from 1989 or the early 1990s.
